SPECIFICATION
Rhenium(VI) oxide, also known as rhenium trioxide, is a chemical compound with the formula ReO₃.Rhenium(VI) oxide is used as a catalyst in various chemical reactions, including olefin metathesis and oxidation reactions. It can be employed in the synthesis of various organic and inorganic compounds, taking advantage of its catalytic properties.

Features:

At 300K, its resistivity is 100.0nΩ·m, while at 100K, it drops to 6.0nΩ·m. Rhenium trioxide is chemically inactive. Insoluble in water, dilute hydrochloric acid and dilute sodium hydroxide, but soluble in concentrated nitric acid and oxidized to perrhenic acid, in the case of concentrated alkali disproportionation, there is no rhenium (VI) ate in aqueous solution.

Rhenium(VI) OxideApplications:

Rhenium(VI) oxide is widely used as a catalyst in olefin metathesis reactions. Metathesis is a valuable reaction in organic synthesis for the rearrangement of carbon-carbon double bonds.
